Everything we do stems from the most advanced evidence-based methods and techniques. While we offer a wide range of convenient on-site services, our philosophy goes beyond pain relief. We dedicate a great deal of our time to teaching patients about their treatment and conditions. We believe that patients should feel empowered to be proactive and take charge of their own health and future.
Our bodies are very smart and adaptive, but doing the same motions over and over, for years, can come with some ailments along the way. Some common complaints that typically respond very well to conservative treatment include: tension headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, arm or leg numbness or tingling, low back or mid back pain, hip impingement, and "sciatic pain". With the proper evaluation at Family Sport and Spine, we will be able to educate and help you manage these every day symptoms with the appropriate treatment intervention.
Common overuse injuries include; plantar fasciitis, achilles tendinitis, shin splints, psoas tendinitis, IT band syndrome, shoulder impingement, biceps tendonitis, and low back overuse. Some traumas or injuries that we treat are ankle sprains, neck/low back pain “stingers”, throwing injuries, and wrist injuries. With our in-house rehabilitation room, we are able to treat and manage these complaints conservatively and help guide you back to performing at your best.
During the delivery process the baby may be predisposed to mild stresses to different locations along the spine. These symptoms can later manifest as colic, acid reflux, inability to latch efficiently, inconsistent sleeping patterns, and ear discomfort. A young nervous system is very vulnerable and yet quickly adaptive to change and learning. Chiropractic treatment is much gentler to the less developed spine, and is often completed with light mobilizations and gentle instrument use. The providers at Family Sport and Spine have developed their skills in pediatrics extensively, and have had great outcomes working with the youngsters!
The process itself is a “mini marathon”. To optimize the body, we believe that the body should be trained and prepared for the final event of delivery, as well as the immediate stages after. It is very common during pregnancy and fetal development that the body is forced to adapt to different postures. This often causes increased stress on the neck and lower back. Pregnancy related complications often includes: lower back and "sciatic pain", swelling of the feet, hip flexor pain, and more. Chiropractic treatment, especially during the third trimester, can help alleviate these symptoms and help for a more comfortable birth. It is vital to be sure the pelvis is of optimal function for the growing child to have a comfortable resting place, which can be assisted with the Webster technique.

Family Sport and Spine is the most comprehensive chiropractic care I have ever received, and Brittani Seeman is the most thoughtful and introspective doc I have ever worked with. I started seeing Dr. Seeman after having my second child, and so far we have worked together through two years of postpartum care, including getting back into competitive fitness shape and working through some use and overuse injuries. I always appreciate the actionable movements that I'm given for homework, and how effective and nearly instantaneous they are. Dr. Seeman takes into account her patients' lifestyles and busy schedules, takes the time to listen and explore during office visits, and crafts a workable plan of care, and the results are undeniable!
